Anukriti (USICT)

Aman (USICT)

We would like to congratulate you on behalf of the Publication club for being appointed as the new dean of USICT.

Ques.
What is your opinion on our generation’s approach towards education and career?
Ans.
There is an importance of higher education for the long term career growth. Students, after completing their graduation, opt for higher studies instead of taking up jobs as it gives them an opportunity to apply for a better job in future. So, I think higher education is mandatory.

Ques.
As the Director of Student Welfare of GGSIPU, where do you see our university in the next 10 years?
Ans. Our prime focus is to see what the shortcomings in our university are, and where we are lacking. Once that is established, we will work on these issues order to match the level of top universities of India.

Ques.
What are the reforms that you would like to make as the dean of USICT?
Ans.
The main focus right now is to improve the quality of the labs in the school. We are planning to bring some new equipment and try to upgrade the labs.

Ques.
Do you think the present syllabus is adequate to match the present day requirements or is there any plan for upgrading the syllabus?
Ans.
We are constantly trying to upgrade the syllabus in order to provide the students with top quality education, so that our students don’t lack anywhere.

Ques.
Are there any plans for new schools/courses to be introduced in the university?
Ans.
Currently, we are not planning to introduce any new school in the university but surely we will introduce some courses like M.Tech. in robotics etc., so that the students have a broader range of options.

Ques.
Where, according to you, are we lacking in comparison to other institutes?
Ans.
We have shifted to this campus just 4 years ago, so we are taking time to provide proper facilities, establish labs and create a friendly environment for studies.

Ques.
What is your message to the students of the university?
Ans.
I would like the students to concentrate on their academics because at the end of the day, knowledge is power and apart from that, they should participate in co-curricular activities and completely utilize their time
